Adopt a Sprout!

Don’t just make a sprout’s Christmas, make his - or her - whole year. That’s our plea to you this Christmas. Watch Nigel’s story below to see why you should give him or one of his friends a loving home today.

Love ‘em or loathe ‘em there is a good chance a bowl of sprouts will take its place on the Christmas dinner table at most homes around the country.

Brothers Martin and William Haines are fourth generation farmers, passionate about the sometimes maligned vegetable. They grow around 200 acres of sprouts at their farm in Chipping Campden in the heart of the Cotswolds along with other brassicas, peas, wheat and 600 breeding ewes. Read their story here.

Sprouts waiting for homes now:

NigelNigel

Three months old
Nigel’s a champ. While he’s recently become a bit of a celeb, deep down Nigel’s still the same old down to earth sprout. And this year he’d like to find someone to share good food, good company and a great Christmas with.

BelleBelle

One month old
Belle is a quiet one. Being just a month old she’s still pretty green and carefree. Ribbons and shiny things are all she thinks about. And spending Christmas with a friendly family whose tree is dressed tip to trunk in shiny decorations would be her idea of heaven.

ReginaldReginald

Seven months old
Reginald, or as his friend’s know him, Reggie is a loveable sprout. His favourite thing about Christmas, slippers and slankets. Reggie’s never happier than when he’s got his slippers and this Christmas he’d love nothing more than to share his favourite footwear and a slanket with you.

MariahMariah

Two and a half months old
Mariah’s a bright and bubbly sprout. The best bit about this time of year for Mariah is listening to ‘All I want for Christmas’ by her namesake. It’s her favourite Christmas song. This year she’d love nothing more than to spend Christmas singing along to it with you.
